Yadier Molina's foundation raises money for Hurricane Maria victims at charity dinner
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Yadier Molina and wife teamed up with his non-profit to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Maria.
They hosted a fundraiser on Thursday night to help victims of the hurricane in his native Puerto Rico.
He visited the island during three days after the 2017 season. “To see the people sleeping on the floors, seeing people without roofs, it’s sad. But right now we’re doing a lot better. The people from everywhere, they put in the money, their support to help us,” said Molina.
Molina created Foundation 4 in 2010 to raise money for kids in Puerto Rico. For now, the focus has shifted a little to help those displaced by Hurricane Maria.
